J. Herbin, "Maitre Cirier" a Paris, was established in 1670. Herbin was a sailor, and from his many journeys to India he brought back to Paris formulas for manufacturing sealing wax. His special lacquer formula improved the quality of the seals in adhesion and neatness, helping him to become famous throughout the kingdom.
For the following 300 years J Herbin has become the brand associated with the finest quality sealing waxes throughout Europe and the world. Used by notaries through out time these waxes are sure to make your special correspondence all the more important to the recipient.
We highly recommend the J Herbin Regular Sealing Wax for use with hand delivered items, gift wrap, certificates, or to create a tamper-proof seal which will crack upon bending. This range of J.Herbin wax is made using the old world tradition, it is not designed to withstand the postal process.
As with all J. Herbin waxes, this collection will take razor-sharp impressions and hold its sharpness through the years and is available in 4 colors.
